Presented at Vivid Sydney 2025, ‘While You Were Dreaming’ is an immersive installation created by Mikka Byarugaba in collaboration with Estée Lauder, with creative direction and production facilitated by Rizer. Located in Darling Square, visitors stepped into a striking five-metre-tall sculptural head symbolizing the boundary between conscious reality and the subconscious world of dreams.

Inside the sculpture, guests experienced an evocative journey through generative visuals and soundscapes, exploring themes of cellular renewal and transformation that occur during sleep, reflecting Estée Lauder’s renowned Night Science and Advanced Night Repair skincare philosophy. The dynamic installation featured four distinct chapters: Emergence, Growth, Dream Reflection, and New Self, each accompanied by original ambient audio created by Mikka, carefully synchronized to the visuals.

Highlighted by leading media, including Harper's BAZAAR and Vogue Australia, ‘While You Were Dreaming’ drew significant attention for its innovative use of AI-driven visuals, ambitious audiovisual scale, and captivating storytelling, marking a standout collaboration at the intersection of art, beauty, science, and experiential design.
